Carrot People

Can anyone tell me the name of a n incredibly unfunny b&w sci-fi "comedy" in which a couple of intrepid astronauts/explorers did battle with carrot people (that is, large carrots with limbs)?

The film that you mentioned is the 1962 film INVASION OF THE STAR CREATURES. Also, Roger Corman reguar actor Jonathan Haze scripted INVASION OF THE STAR CREATURES while actor Bruno VeSota directed the film (VeSota was also a regular actor for both Roger and Gene Corman).

Thanks for that, Chris. I only ever saw a snippet of it, but it's always stuck with me. If I had known it was a Corman I might have watched more.
