Just a suggestion, maybe you could offer some of your own thoughts on the subject, so we have something to respond to. Posting several new threads at once, with little more than a title for each - it's frowned upon. Maybe keep it to one at a time.

And no, there are many worse movies than Battlefield Earth, by most standards. Of course, it depends, to some degree, on how you define bad. It is fun to watch, just not for the reasons intended.

Another suggestion might be to do a search for a topic like this before posting, since Battlefield Earth, not to mention the question of worst movie, has been extensively discussed in the past. Might be helpful for you to take a look.

I've never understood why people hate that movie.  It does have its spectacular lapses in logic, but anybody's who's seen any of Hollywood's recent action movies (especially anything with an "X" in the title) is used to that.  I'd rather sit through it twice than have to endure the likes of Costner's Waterworld or anything like that.

Worst ever, that I actually watched more than 5 minutes of, that might be something like Skeleton Man.  We were sitting around laughing about how they can't possibly use quasi-military macho BS for every single line of dialogue in the entire movie...they just can't.  Then ten more minutes would go by and it was like, no, somebody actually has to say something eventually.  Then ten more minutes went by.  Not to mention that it was the only movie that I've seen where I wouldn't have even known what the premise was if it wouldn't have been explained in the commercials.  The guy who explained it in the movie mumbled so bad I couldn't make out a word he said.  Except that he wanted beans.  The action sequences were not only laughable (bullets hitting trees create showers of sparks, like sparklers!), but they didn't make any sense at all.  The only conclusion I could draw was that some of the highly trained military people were intentionally comitting suicide during the attacks.  But what did I expect from people who pull out their guns and immediately start aiming them at everything insight, making sure the sights still point in the general direction of the front of the barrel I guess.  Then the ending finally rolled around - oh look, now we're in some building for some reason - and that didn't make any sense either.

Anyhow, makes Battlefield Earth seem like art in comparison.

I could never watch more than a couple of minutes of this because of the way the idiot director thought it would be fun for every scene to be tilted.

My vote for "Worse Movie I've Ever Seen:" Only When I Laugh.  Some drama, mother-daughter, mother drinks, daughter hates it kinda thing.  My gf in high school dragged me to this drek (it was the first R rated movie her parents let her go see - OH MY WORD, the horror of it).

How/why we like or dislike a movie is based on so much more than what is going on onscreen.  All I remember is I would have been happier with a Friday the 13th or Halloween sequel.

Yeah...I hope you mean we'll settle for it being a work of art. Seriously, I love the movie (my all time favorite) but I don't consider it art, I'm just messing around.

I don't even consider Beyond Thunderdome as part of the series...I have disavowed it's existence.
