NOT a b-film but...

I am trying to remmeber a movie I saw as a young lad.  It was an older (60's maybe?) semi-western (took place in the mid-20th century in Mexico).  In it two guys are trying to strike it rich, and they hook up woth an arms dealer whose personal wepons of cohoice are hand grenades.  He carries a bunch in his suitcase, and then saves the tw guys bacon.  They go off in search of treasure/wepons cache/ someting else.  
Sorry this is more vague, and vaguely off topic.   But if someone recalls, I'd be grateful.

uhh... searching google for "western film"+"grenades", i find mention of sam peckinpah's "the wild bunch", but i don't see any mention of a character with a suitcase with a bunch of grenades in it.
