Who is this Steven Spielburg you speak of?  Is He anything like Steven Spielbergh, or his inexpensive Mexican counterpart Senor Spielbergho?

"Jew names"?  It's not some sort of Semitic issue, Dave.  You erode your own credibility when you criticize another but can't even spell his name right.

Nothing makes your argument stronger than throwing out some racial comments as well.

I hope you're not trying to insult Senor Spielbergho, who is one of the best and most underappreciated directors of our time.

I'm not ashamed to admit it, when I saw MI NINO ES MUY FLATULANTE for the first time, I wept.  And that's saying a lot.

Why's everybody always dissing on the Man known as Steven Spielberg.  He's one hell of a great filmmaker  (the colour purple, schindler's list, indiana jones, e.t.-the list goes on) in spite of a few flops (why are artist so harshly judged in our society by carpel-tunnel ridden p**sants who make no art whatsoever for a career?). But to all the people who diss on him: Have you ever made any films? If so where the hell are they? Are they makin' triple figures like his? Do you even know how hard it is to make a damn film, even a low budget one?

Yes Chris, I know it's hard to make a low budget feature myself. And mine are experimental features with NO MONEY put into them, are not released to public (not yet), and have my friends as actors. And I like it this way! We don't get paid, but we like the experience. And we have fun. Nobody is like "I want to do this..." or "I won't be in it if get this amount of money..." We do what we can and we challenge ourselves since we are not spending any money.

It's hard to make a movie, BUT NOT THAT HARD. Steven Speilberg is an OK filmmaker. But for once, I would like to see that "director" make a movie that has no money invested in it whatsoever. Speilberg would probably have a hearatack! He is so pampered with using too much money. You don't need $300 to $500 million to make a movie (unless it's action packed explosions).

yeah i see what you're saying, and i love low budget filmmaking. i wasn't saying that only high budget hollywood movies are good (in fact most of them really suck!). i was just stating that people who rag on him don't understand the pressure of a very high production (which is a lot more stressful than making a movie in your backyard) or the skill level involved. as far as my situation goes with filmmaking i'm on the same boat as you, but with much less support since i know no actors, and i can't get much people i know to have the same drive. good luck in the future.
