Dark Heaven is a strange little film.  It started off reminding me of "The Quiet Earth", where someone wakes up and the world seems to be empty, but it soon takes a sinister turn when he runs into a seeming crazy priest fighting against angel/aliens (he's not sure) and some other survivors fighting people who keep coming back from the dead.  He is also haunted by flashbacks of his dead wife and son.

*spoilers*

In the end, I was pretty disappointed with this.  Maybe because I was also working while watching it and couldn't give it my full attention, but in the end it felt like it moved along pretty slow and that a lot of it was imagery meant to be spooky or creepy but it didn't really hold together.  Most of it ended up really amounting to nothing as it seemed to be mostly just the hallucinations of a dying man.  So it seemed to not make sense or not really need to make sense, which robbed it of any feeling that the conflict was meaningful
