We're all just victims of circumstance

Thursday June 23 IFC (Independent Film Channel) will be playing the original Dawn of the Dead followed by a 30 minute special titled Dream of the Dead: The Making of George A. Romero's Land of the Dead.

The special will be followed by Peter Jackson's Dead Alive and then the original Night of the Living Dead.  The fun starts at 7:15pm (CST) and the special will be repeated at 1:30am.

I caught Dream Of The Dead twice yesterday and I must say it was amazing.  It aired at 6:00PM and 10:30PM yesterday.

It's done by the same guy who did Document Of The Dead and is a pretty good look at Romero's latest zombie flick.  The main focus of Dream is to show Savini reprising his role of the biker from Dawn, but now as a zombie.  There's also quite a bit of insight with Romero and his crew.

Romero does thankfully kill some of my fears about this newest film by saying that there will be little CGI.  Most everything is mechanical in the film except for some of the buildings.

Overall, it's a great little mini-doc and I hope it sees new life on the Land Of The Dead DVD eventually.  It does run a bit short, but thankfully due to it's length, it doesn't give too much away about the film.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Frumkes (street trash, pretty sure he made document of the dead) is behind this documentary then? I was never crazy for his other stuff but I'll check it out.
