Hello there, a year or so I created a B-Movie youtube channel (youtube.com/user/BalloonInTheBalloon) - added a few clips and then forgot about it, turned out it had more views than i expected so I decided to continue with it. Being a z.movie buff myself I've seen many of them. It's difficult to rate B-Movies, so me and my friend came up with our own system: "Watchability" and "Energy drain". The Room scoring a [5/1] and the soul-leeching "Battlefield Earth" scoring a [1/5]

That said; I wan't your views on essential Movies in this category.

I would of course suggest , The Room and a recent favourit extravaganza ; "Rock'n'roll nightmare" ass essential movies

----four to start with, just to make sure I get it----

Dracula 3000 (5/2) - just as ridiculous as The Room for me (albeit not as over the top), and pretty damn easy to get into if you like stupid films. With characters that come off as horrible caricatures sharing a canvas, and acting that might qualify as Bizarro-World-Shakespearean

The Beast of Yucca Flats (3/3) - very monotonous, but the stupid parts are quietly laugh-out-loud... if that makes sense

Hip Hop Locos (1/5) - one hour of Latino gangstaz swearing at one another and occasionally killing people. Very hard to get through, but if you really want to try for the worst films every released, I'd strongly recommend it for the experience

The Dinosaur Chronicles (3/4) - lots of walking, and stupid people with stupid accents doing mundane things. However, the effects are just so bad (so many dinosaur hand puppets and stop-motion stock footage...), and the actors just so dorky, that any b-movie fan should get a kick out of it

EDIT: fixed the ratings

So, the first scale (rated out of "1") is how entertaining/unintentionally funny a movie is, and the second scale (rated out of "5") is how hard it is to keep watching?

I think he meant to put both numbers in one rating. Example [5/1] - the first number stands for "watchability" and the second for "energy drain".

A few recently watched bad movies:

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011) - 3/3
Spawn of the Slithis (1978) - 2.5/4
The Crater Lake Monster (1977) - 3.5/4
Up from the Depths (1979) - 4/5
Amphibious 3D (2010) - 3.5/2
Spiders 3D (2013) - 2/4.5
Final Exam (1981) - 3.5/4
Dinocroc vs. Supergator (2010) - 3.5/3
Super Shark (2011) - 3/4
Howard the Duck (1986) - 4/5
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) - 3.5/2
The Butterfly Effect 2 (2006) - 3/3.5
Damned by Dawn (2009) - 3.5/4

No B-movie collection would be complete without this...

One of my all time favorite "bad" B-movies. Wink

I've always stated that there was a difference between a B-movie and just a bad movie in general. Max Max and The Road Warrior are classic B-movies that are respected as some of the best films of all time. Same thing with the Evil Dead series too.

As far as some of my favorite "bad" movies of all time, here's a quick list:
1) Megaforce
2) Samurai Cop
3) The Apple
4) The Being
5) The Room
6) King Kong Lives
7) Jaws IV: The Revenge
8) Braddock: Missing in Action III
9) The Brain
10)The Jar

Thank you very much for your suggestions! (I have a lot of movies to look forward to).
Yesterday I saw this little gem: Gymkata (1985).

Watchability: 5  (Highly entertaining with a lot of bizarre events)
Energy Drain: 1  (No moments where you felt that the movie never seemed to end, no soul-sucking boring parts)

Also I saw "Black Fist".

Hi there!

Troll 2 [5/1]- Another required B-Movie to watch.

Manos [1/5]- Horrible, long, yet I like it because of the ambition the guy had. It's still a piece of crap though.

Leonard Part 6 [2/5]- More of a 'You need to be either drunk or high to watch this' type of movie. I, in my messed up self, enjoyed it. It's utterly stupid of course! TongueOut

Reptilicus(?) [5/1] The only rubber puppet monster in the giant monster flicks, the said monster can shoot electricity and is completely hilarious to watch.

Xanadu [0/5] One of the few B-movies I regret watching.

Roller Boogie [1/5] Bring a Pillow, it's a snoozer.

The Brain That Wouldn't Die [3/3] Kind of boring, but the ending was worth it.

The Brain From Planet Arous* [3/1] Hilariously bad, yet kind of scary in a few parts.

Bride of the Gorilla  [2/4] Stupid, boring as hell, yet more entertaining than Roller Boogie.

The Navy vs. the Night Monsters [3/2] The only that the Night Monsters can kill is if the victims walk back into it, as the monsters are killer trees. ಠ_ಠ

Godzilla: Final Wars [5/1] Awesome movie whare you see sword fighting and the REAL Godzilla kicking Zilla's ass in Australia!

Evil Dead 2 [10/1] completely kick ass, everyone know this!

* As a joke I said in a scene (the main character, his wife, and dog gets into a car) I said that there's going to be a three way. I'm completely sick in the head.
