Seen This Robot Movie?

I'm trying to find out the title of a movie I saw on TV in the early sixties. All I can remember is that there were Evil Robots- probably from outer space but I wouldn't swear to it- and that they were defeated at the last minute by Army Guys In A Jeep, which had a siren or some other sort of strange sound-wave producing device. I remember the Star and Starlet of the movie being out on a ledge or balcony as the Robot In Question was going to do something to them when the jeep drove up below.
