HMMMMM..... Sounds interesting. But do I dare check this out? I just might.

I guess my subject title clearly says it all. Harryhausen's version features BETTER ACTING (and yes, the British speak in the original version), better cinematography, a Bernard Hermman music score, and BETTER SPECIAL EFFECTS from the mastero himself Ray Harryhausen.

The reworking had some good elements, but it's always the original that comes out on top. And when the original has great Harryhausen effects, you just know it will be better (CLASH OF THE TITANS is an exception, but the effects were still good).

Can't argue with you there, and i can't forget the Score by Bernard H. Love that Music! Of the two, The Harryhausen gets my respect, and the remake is best for Riffing. The Skeleton fight still boggles my mind after all these years.

Well you can't expect it to beat out the original. It's hard to improve on a movie that is already great. Plus Ray wasn't available for the remake(sad, I know).
