My wife wants to know

She was asking me about some tv show she seen about a guy that could change into all kinds of animals, or something along that line, I thought she might be thinking of beastmaster, but she said no, it was something else. I seem to remember something like what she is talking about, but I have no clue what the name of it was. Any ideas?

Might be Manimal.  A short lived series in the 80's.

Yup, that was it. Thanks. I don't know if I seen that. Was it any good? Who was in it?

Simon MacCorkindale was the manimal. He was a British zoologists who worked at NYU.  

Actually the show was pretty cheesy. He mostly just turned into the black panther or the hawk, although I remember  he was a bear at least once.  It was cancelled pretty quick.
