Again, a movie I dont remember a lot about, hopefully you guys can figure it out.
First of all, its a color movie, I seem to recall that there was at least one, maybe more sequels made.
I cant guess how old they are.
Plot:
The main character is a ~teenage boy.
I remember one scene (possibly the plot of one of the sequels) where he goes on holiday with his family, in order to get away from the evil gnomish creatures that have haunted them at home, only to find out that their holiday retreat is also infested with them. His mother gets abducted by those evil creatures, the whole thing has a certain Grimm's Fairy Tales vibe, as i also recall someone falling asleep, unable to be re-awoken.
The most distinguishing plot feature is, that these evil creatures use some kind of poison on the food that the family eats, and only if they eat or drink it (I remember a glass of milk being poisoned f.ex., but also an apple), the creatures can take that person away.
Also, the poisoned food has green slimey traces once someone has taken a bite, I think.
It has been at least 12 years since I watched this, so my memory may be sketchy, I hope you guys can help anyway :)
