Scary Movie 3 managed to be somewhat funny (at times) and is in my opinion the "best" Scary Movie sequel, though I still don't rate it very high.

1. Scary Movie 2000 (3.0) Good
2. Scary Movie 3 2003 (2.5) Flawed but Worthy
3. Scary Movie 2 2001 (2.0) Fair
4. Scary Movie 4 2006 (2.0) Fair
5. Scary Movie V 2013 (0.5) Very Poor

but then again, you prefer Exorcist II over the original so what do I know  :teddyr:
Is it October yet?

Scary Movie 3 is the best of them all as far as I'm concerned 😊

Okay, I confess I cannot even recall which one is SM3 and which one is SM4. They both have Charlie Sheen and/or Craig Bierko, right? Whichever one has the WAR OF THE WORLDS riffs and Michael Madsen plays Tim Robbins is the one I enjoyed more (once). Also Leslie Nielsen is in that one, which certainly helps. I'm pretty sure I never saw SM5 and/or had no idea it existed.

Also, EXORCIST 2 is a perfectly nice film.  :twirl:

My fave line in that is where the alien says "If you think that's strange, you should see how we pee" 😳😂🤣

That's indeed the third one. My favorite line is definitely one from Nielsen:

- Family, that's just what I've been running away from.
- Well, that's because you're an idiot.

His delivery is just priceless.

Okay, I'm not trying to unnaturally preserve a debate which I have no real stake in, but I checked and SCARY MOVIES 3 + 4 have most of the same cast, including Nielsen, Bierko, Regina King, Anthony Anderson, probably Anna Farris (she's at least in one of 'em), etc etc etc. I just read plot synopsis of both and I swear to God they're the same movie - I mean, from reading both synopsis I only recall seeing that movie once, but it's two separate movies and I've watched each of them, I'm just incapable of distinguishing them intellectually. Perhaps that was purely as intended/by design. I think we had the same conversation about the AIRPLANEs some months ago - if you've seen one, you've basically seem 'em both, and either you remember all the classic lines from Peter Graves or all the classic lines from Shatner.

I didn't know Leslie Nielsen was in any of them. mind you his non NAKED GUN / AIRPLANE comedy movies tend to suck, the worst being that space themed one which was another 'dismal fall of humankind' experience

gonna give a mention to CLERKS 2. remember really liking CLERKS when it came out. it felt different, new, and fairly genuine... CLERKS 2 felt like the most cliquey, mutual-backslapping load of self satisfied mediocrity I have ever witnessed. put me in a bad mood for a couple of weeks iirc

Oh God, that movie is sooo bad. Michael Myers being defeated by a martial arts, one-liner spewing Busta Rhymes.

thought that was a complete trainwreck on first watch ,and also boring.

for some strange reason since watching it again recently I've changed my mind and find it enjoyably crap now.  watched it twice in the last 6 months. although it has no place being a HALLOWEEN movie
