George Kennedy, can you feel my loathing? My horror? Hey, don't touch me you freak. I love the movie though, despite he-who-we-shall-not-name-again.
This cat escapes from a research laboratory after ripping off some guy's arm and killing several others. You will find loads of fun watching the mutant cat believe me! Especially in the famous "truck attack" scene - it is obviously a rug-like puppet on the end of a person's arm! The girls are invited to go sailing with Graham (who is fleeing the U.S. for some reason involving illegal investing practices) and decide to take along three guys and a cat they pick up. The boat's engine breaks down and the cat goes on a rampage!
For some reason I seem to have a personal thing for this movie; quite a few other people loathe it. |

| Things I Learned From This Movie: | |
|
- A mutated cat life-form larger than a Rottweiler easily fits inside your average house cat host.
- Mutant cat-things are poisonous and that poison makes human blood vessels explode.
- George Kennedy was never young, ever.
- When a truck rolls down a hill it sounds just like eighteen panes of glass breaking.
- Sextants are easily converted into microscopes.
- The sound of people kissing, when amplified, is disgusting.
- All yachts carry cat poison.
- Shooting a pipe on a boat that has not been running in several days will unleash a deadly geyser of steam.
- Counting money, in a lifeboat, in the middle of a storm, by looking at - is easy.
- Do not shoot a single 9mm bullet through a ship's hull; it will sink.

|
- 3 mins - If this cat is so dangerous why are they carrying it by hand and why was the lab door wide open?
- 18 mins - That there's a different truck than we just saw them driving. Oh, but it's rolling down a hill...
- 22 mins - Where in the heck did that collar come from? The cat wasn't wearing it in the last scene.
- 38 mins - Albert is talking while he's drinking. Who dubbed this?
- 51 mins - Rachel thinks Lance might die from being shot in the arm?
- 59 mins - Is he using a spatula as a weapon?
- 78 mins - Rachel has been working on the engine for several hours but her white shirt is spotless, did Tide fund this?
- 82 mins - There is no way they threw shots of a toy boat in there.

If you watch closely when the cat-puppet attacks the guy in the truck, you can see the puppeteer's arm. Well done, chap!
